Tucson's Economic Growth Best in Region in Early 2010
A new report shows that in early 2010, versus the last months of 2009, Tucson's economic output saw the largest growth among large metropolitan cities in six Mountain West states. The study from Brookings Mountain West, a new partnership between the Brookings Institute and the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, reports the total amount of goods and services produced in Tucson during the first quarter of 2010 grew by 1.4 percent.
Tucson's rate tied with Ogden, Utah for best in the region, exceeding that of the nation as a whole by about half a percentage point..
