Gregg Johnson Southern Arizona Campus Director University of Phoenix
Gregg Johnson is the Campus Director for the six Southern Arizona campuses of the University of Phoenix where his responsibilities are to direct enrollment, finance, student services, and academic affairs.
Johnson’s career has been focused on education at many levels. Prior to joining the University of Phoenix, he served as a school administrator in Utah where he directed accreditation and licensure, trained staff and teachers, and supervised the school director. Prior to that Johnson directed church educational programs in St Louis, MO where he also started and maintained a bookstore for teachers and a food co-op. Johnson has taught religious education for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and has traveled all over the world on behalf of the LDS Church Educational System.
After earning his B.A. from the University of Utah, Johnson served as a navy pilot before pursuing his Master’s in Educational Psychology and earning his Doctorate of Education – both at Brigham Young University.
Johnson serves the community through a number of organizations. In addition to his position on the board of directors for TREO and also the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, he is also chair of the governance committee and executive committee member of the Community Food Bank, chair of the planning committee for Workforce Investment Board, and associate board member of Boys & Girls Clubs of Tucson.
Gregg Johnson received the “Distinguished Teaching Award” from the University of Phoenix.
