Schletter Continues Expansion of Tucson Production Operations
Schletter has long been a leader in the global solar industry. After opening its North American headquarters in Tucson more than two years ago, the company has continued its success with facility expansion and job creation. In early 2010 Schletter employed fewer than 50 full-time employees. That number has since grown to 80 and construction is underway on a second Tucson location to house both office and manufacturing space. Construction is estimated for completion by end of 2012.
Schletter has expanded its production capabilities and product offerings which help to establish the company as a leading provider of ground-mounted systems for commercial and utility-size photovoltaic installations throughout the United States.
“The industry is highly competitive and continues to grow exponentially,” said Schletter president Martin Hausner. “Only with the strong support of our partners, such as local banking institutions and our parent company in Germany, is this growth possible. We look forward to the challenges ahead.” |
