The major towns and cities in Southern Arizona include Tucson, the Town of Marana, the Town of Oro Valley, Benson, the Town of Sahuarita, Sierra Vista, and South Tucson.

Over the past four years, the annual rate of population growth was 13.4 percent in Marana, 6.1 percent in Oro Valley, 2.1 percent in unincorporated Pima County, and 39.4 percent in Sahuarita. In fact, the population in Sahuarita grew at an incredible 155.3 percent in 2004 as a result of massive residential construction projects in the area. High growth is forecasted to continue throughout the Tucson region.
