Economic Blueprint/Power of Five

  • TREO's Economic Blueprint is a strategic plan that will define a performance-based strategy and economic vision to effectively position the Tucson region to capitalize on its best economic development opportunities in the coming decades.
  • TREO involved nearly 6,000 people/organizations, representing the broadest possible range of community interests - public, private, and non-profit.
  • TREO's Blueprint Steering Committee was made up of a broad cross-section of public, private and community leaders who represented the voices of more than 51,000 employees in the Tucson region.
  • More than 40 organizations endorse the mobilization plan.
  • Starting in 2008, TREO will produce an Annual Community Report Card to measure economic health, prosperity and competitiveness of the region.
  • The Power of Five focus areas: 1) High-Skilled/High-Wage Jobs; 2) Educational Excellence; 3) Urban Renaissance; 4) Livable Communities; and 5) Collaborative Governance & Stewardship
